Happy Friday👋

What’s up?

🎞 A few months ago I shared a list of some movies that had surprised me by overdelivering. Since we are getting into the winter and holiday season I decided to do something similar but gaming-related.

🕹 Here are 5 board games and 5 video games that most surprised me by how good they were (in no particular order):

  1. Indonesia

  2. Puerto Rico

  3. Imperial

  4. Twilight Struggle

  5. 1889

  6. Fallout: New Vegas

  7. Crusader Kings II

  8. Need for Speed: Underground

  9. The Last of Us

  10. Slay the Spire

And now, the best things I found on the Internet this week.

New to me 💡

A thread on the 'Shannon's Demon' (a can't lose investment strategy) | 9 min read

📈 “Shannon was not just a great scientist. He was also a very successful investor. He and his wife Betty were avidly interested (and active) in the stock market. By some accounts, they managed to compound their portfolio at ~28% per year from the late 1950s through 1986.”

A thread on finding and testing SaaS ideas very, very fast | 3 min read

🤑 “Too many times I hear: "I don't know what to build". 1: Go on http://Capterra.com / http://g2.com, 2: Search for the most successful SAAS out there, 3: Read the bad reviews. You now have a business idea.”

Leonardo da Vinci's Best Painting (Is Not The Mona Lisa) | 8 min watch

🖼 I need to pay more attention at museums.
